So autumn is the visit for entryways before boots and salt start again, for vents and radiators before the heat comes on and pushes months of dust around, for summer's screens and sills, and for the rooms that will be shut and heated for the next half a year. It is the less obvious of the two and the one that makes winter easier.
Not the same as a one-off deep clean
A deep clean is defined by scope — everything a regular visit has to skip, anywhere in the house. A seasonal clean carries that same detail work but points it at what the season did, and at the parts of a house that go dormant in between: heating, entryways, windows, storage, the guest room nobody used since summer. Is this the same as a deep clean?
It uses the same kind of detail work, but it is pointed at different things. A deep clean goes after build-up anywhere in the house. A seasonal visit targets what the season did — heating, entryways, windows, the rooms and storage that sat unused — and it is booked to the calendar rather than to a problem.
When should I book each one?
The spring visit works best once the windows can stay open for a few hours, which in Central Massachusetts usually means somewhere in April. The autumn visit wants to land before the heat goes on for good, so late September into October.
Do I have to book both?
No. Either stands on its own. Spring is the obvious one. Autumn is the one that pays off through the winter, because whatever you leave in October you live with until April.
Do you clean windows?
Sills, tracks and the glass we can reach from inside are part of a seasonal visit. If you want more than that — outside glass, storm windows, screens taken out and washed — say so when you ask for the quote so it is in the scope rather than a surprise on the day.
