Move-In Cleaning in Clinton, MA

You have the keys and the rooms are empty, and somewhere in them is someone else's cooking, someone else's shampoo, someone else's dust. We clean it before your furniture lands on top of it — inside the cabinets, inside the fridge, and every surface in the bathroom you are not ready to use yet.

Empty room cleaned and ready to move into

For buyers and tenants who have the keys but cannot bring themselves to put a plate in a cabinet or a toothbrush by the sink until someone has cleaned it properly.

The house is only empty once

Before the furniture, before the boxes, the whole place is reachable. Floors get washed where a bed will stand for the next ten years. Closet shelves get done front to back rather than around whatever is stacked on them. It is the same amount of work either way — it is simply far better work when the rooms are bare, and you never get the chance again.

The places you will not use until they are clean

There is a short list of things nobody wants to touch in a house that was someone else's last week: the inside of the fridge, the inside of the oven, the tub, the toilet, the cabinet you are meant to put your plates in. That list is the job. We clean and sanitize the bathrooms, take the drawers out and wash them, vacuum and wash the cabinets, and do the fridge and the oven inside, so nothing has to be avoided on your first night.

We work to your closing date

Move-in dates move. Closings slip, keys arrive at four in the afternoon, the truck comes on a Saturday. Tell us the date you are working towards when you ask for a quote and we will build around it. We are family-owned and we send our own trained team, the same people rather than subcontractors, so there is one number to call if the date changes.

What this includes

  • Inside every cabinet, drawer and closet — shelves washed, not just emptied out
  • The previous household's traces gone from the fridge and freezer — shelves, drawers and the door seal washed
  • The oven done before your first dinner in the house — racks out, door glass, the seal around the door
  • Bathrooms sanitized until they feel like nobody else's — sinks, toilets, tubs and tile walls
  • Walls, baseboards, doors, frames and light fixtures — the fixed surfaces reset to zero
  • Floors washed last, while the rooms are still bare

Common questions

You might be wondering

Should the cleaning happen before or after the movers?

Before, if the dates allow it. An empty house is the only chance anyone gets to wash the floor under where the couch will sit for the next decade, and to reach the back of every closet shelf. Once the boxes are in, half the job turns into moving boxes.

The sellers said they cleaned it. Do I still need this?

Most people do clean before they hand over the keys, and most of that cleaning is what can be seen. The difference tends to be inside — the fridge shelves and seal, the inside of the oven, the cabinet interiors, the grout in the bathroom. Those are the parts you meet on your first night, not during the walkthrough.

Can you clean on the day I get the keys?

Give us your closing date when you ask for a quote and we will work to it. We would far rather have the date early and adjust it later than hear from you on the morning itself, because move dates cluster and the obvious slots fill first.

Do you clean inside the cabinets and the fridge?

Yes, and on a move-in that is the point of the job rather than an extra. Cabinets vacuumed and washed, drawers taken out and cleaned, the fridge and the oven done inside, and the bathrooms cleaned and sanitized before you unpack a single towel.
